There may be troubles ahead.....

So much for being all enthusiastic about my training ! Having written that I found the next run out was beset by troubles. First, my Ipod froze so I couldn't track my run. I wore my watch that my lovely Man bought me so that was fine, but I do like to have the run widgetted on my blog and the thought of Lance Armstrong saying "Well done ! That was a record for the mile ! " is always encouraging.

Also, I felt like crap. I was tired and my left leg hurt. I took it easy and ended up cutting my run short by 10 minutes. My left leg, above my ankle and to the side of my shin hurts when I run - a kind of burning pain. Its not too bad, but I worry to myself " Should I stop for a bit so it doesn't get worse ? Or should I just keep on and hope it goes away ? "

I'll see how it goes. I plan on getting up early tomorrow before work to go out for 35 minutes run/walk. I have been feeling so strong and happy that it annoys me when stuff like this happens.

Luckily my Ipod seems to have recovered so that's a positive !

We all have days like that. This week I too have had a rough time. I had left knee pain, followed by right shin cramping and two days after that I ended up with a wicked sore throat and major tonsil swelling. (Doctors aren't sure if it's an infection or a virus) Keep in mindthat it will pass and you will have better days ahead. Just remeber the quote on your blog. (I love that quote its awesome.)

Also in regards to pain ice, ibuprofen and don't forget to stretch!

Thanks Erika! That makes me feel a lot better. I do tend to fear dreadful things when really I just need someone to tell me "It'll be fine. Keep going !" I will definitely take your advice. Good Luck to you with your aches and pains! Sarah
