Well, it has been an awfully long time since I went running. My achilles continues to niggle. Its stiff in the mornings and wearing boots seems to exaserpate the feeling. So I am wearing flip flops a lot. I did play tennis the other day which was fine as the game was very slow.

I plan to start running again on the 1st July, with lots of warming up, stretching and warming down afterwards.I am trying to walk quite a bit and also lose some weight. I have done a little bit of cycling which was good and enjoyable.
It is very frustrating not to be able to move freely, but I decided that it was just not worth risking a rupture by continuing to play football and go running. I need to listen to my body and it will heal gradually. Thanks to Bill Stankus for your kind comment and advice.
So, watch this space - I have no intention of giving up exercise...in fact I can't wait to get back out there and when I do I will have photos and reports for you! Please don't give up on me!!
