Well, so far this week I've done 11 miles. I've got a 7 miler on Sunday to take it up to 18 miles. I like this Recovery Week ! It feels easy after last week - but no doubt when it picks up again next week it will be hard.
I spoke to Suzy my potential Personal Trainer last night. Wow !! Doesn't that sound posh !!?! I just thought that it might be an idea to have a couple of sessions with someone who really knows what they're doing, just to point me in the right direction. ( Towards the Mall, via Tower Bridge !! ) There are things that are just like a foreign language to me - like proper speed work, mental preparation, hill work - and just being reassured that I am doing the right thing. Also, stuff about gels and drinks and other stuff that I don't even know I don't know !!
Anyway, it was very interesting talking to her and I've booked a session next Wednesday. The thing is, I can't go to the Running Club sessions because of my Man's work and the boys' after school activities. So I reckon this will be a good idea. I know that she has trained several people to do marathons and other things and she is lovely - very down to earth, funny and she knows what she's doing. So, we'll see !!
