I was really looking forward to today's 7 miles. I had planned what time to get up, breakfast, my route and generally felt up for it. ( As Liam Gallagher would say in a slightly more aggressive accent ) But, as is often the case, everything did not go to plan.
I got up and had my nourishing bowl of organic Rude Health porridge ( delicious ) and off I went. But I didn't feel right. Take it slow, I thought, spend the first mile just warming up. So I did. But I was too hot, my clothes irritated me. So I took off my jacket. Then it annoyed me around my waist. My bum bag annoyed me, my earphone wires annoyed me. And then a cyclist stopped me to ask directions. It was such a start stop run. I never got into my stride and my head was soooooooooo not in the right place, if you know what I mean ?
I ended up walking quite a bit, which annoyed me too, because that was more about my head than my legs. And I saw lots of people I know. I am just going to write this one off to experience. At least I did the miles and in 1 hour 31 so, considering I walked a lot its not toooooo awful. Ah, well. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
