Rainy days...

I do love running in the rain !! It was pouring down today when I got in from work at lunchtime so I quickly got changed ( wore my Breakthrough Breast Cancer vest for the first time !! ) had an avocado and set off. The raindrops were dripping down my face at one point and my feet were soaking from running through massive puddles. I hasten to add that I was wearing my vest over a t-shirt and under my running jacket - I'm not that hardy !!

I pushed myself today and it felt good. Hard, but good. It doesn't seem long ago that I was doing 2 or 3 miles a week and wondering how I would ever get any better. Here I am now with 11 miles under my belt so far this week and another 10 to go. How cool is that ? Paula Radcliffe may run 150 miles a week, but I am quietly impressed by my 21 !!

So far, according to my Nike+ Ipod thingy I have run over 270 miles since I started training in August. I am loving it. I hope I have the get up and go to keep running after April. It would be a shame to waste all this time and effort.

I've just read through your last 3 entries and you sound like you're on a roll.... Well done! Everything is coming together nicely.

Are you attending the free training seminar for guaranteed runners? It's over the weekend of 2/3 Feb. The Sat is full but I've put down for the Sunday. If you are going perhaps we could meet up?
